ARTofMELT: Atmospheric Rivers and the onseT of sea-ice MELT

H3O+/NH4+-Vocus-CI-ToFMS measurements of VOCs, oVOCs and organo-sulfur compounds on the Ice Breaker Oden during the ARTofMELT project, led by Paul Zieger and Michael Tjernström at Stockholm University. Our project, Secondary Marine Aerosol precursors and Links to aerosol growth at ice-melT onset in the Arctic (SMÄLTA), is a collaboration with the Pierce & Jathar groups at CSU, and aims to understand the evolution of aerosol precursors during the spring-to-summer period of ice-melt and the onset of biological activity under the ice and in the ocean.

SCENTS: Secondary organic aerosol Chamber Experiments on Non-Traditional Species

NH4+-Vocus-CIMS measurements of oVOCs during the oxidation of select volatile chemical products at the CSU Powerhouse 10 cubic meter chamber. SCENTS is led by the Jathar Group at CSU, in collaboration with the Farmer Group at CSU, the Hu Group at the University of Montana and the NOAA Chemical Sciences Lab Tropospheric Chemistry Group.
Manitou Experimental Forest, during the Flux Closure Study (FLuCS 2021)

Measurements of VOCs and oVOCs with reagent ion switching H3O+/NH4+-CIMS. FLuCS is a collaborative project led by the Farmer Group at CSU, the Millet Group at the University of Minnesota, and the Stevens Group at Indiana University. We were grateful to join FLuCS for our group’s first deployment of our Vocus-CI-ToFMS!
